San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo begins Thursday

Gates open at noon for carnival

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo kicks off Thursday, Feb. 11 at noon when the gates open for the carnival.

Free parking will be available from noon to 2 p.m. in public lots 4, 6 and 7.

Guests will be able to enjoy the carnival's newest ride, the "Power Surge!", shop at more than 650 retailers, meet and greet over 2,500 pigs, goats and cattle in the Livestock barns, and witness students from across Texas showcase their cooking skills in the Food Challenge Finals.

The opening concert at the AT&T Center is country star and Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes. He will perform after the PRCA rodeo.
