Patient at North Central Baptist Hospital tests positive for TB

Patient in isolation, responding to treatment

SAN ANTONIO – A patient at North Central Baptist Hospital on the city’s North Side has tested positive for tuberculosis, Metro Health said Wednesday.

The patient is no longer at the hospital, but is in isolation and responding well to treatment.

Metro Health and the hospital are working together to test everyone who may have been exposed. All people possibly exposed people have been notified.

Currently, the risk of transmission to other people is considered low.
