SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonians are being asked to open their hearts and wallets to make sure local needy children are not forgotten during the holidays.KSAT 12, IPAC Auto Group have joined the Salvation Army for the annual Angel Tree Program. The process is very simple. Just visit an IPAC auto group location or any local mall, collect an angel off the tree and buy the gifts that are listed on the angel and then return the gifts to the Angel Tree location. The need for angel gifts is greater than ever this year.Every year, The Salvation Army strives to collect as many gifts as possible for local children who otherwise may be forgotten during the holiday season."Everything from toys to clothing are listed on the children's wish lists and the joy of helping even one needy child is sure to make anyone's holiday a little brighter," said "Good Morning San Antonio" anchor Leslie Mouton."We hope to collect as many gifts as possible for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program. Even one gift per child is a huge step," said "Good Morning San Antonio" anchor Mark Austin. The Salvation Army's Angel Tree Program will run through Dec. 4."Just bring your Angel Tree gifts to us and we'll take care of it from there," said IPAC's Larry Benson. IPAC auto centers include Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Nissan and Mazda.Northstar, Southpark, Ingram Park and Rolling Oaks Malls are also Salvation Army Angel Tree pickup and drop-off locations through Dec. 12."The goal is to help all the Angels who are here in San Antonio," said Maj.
