Hello! So Monday (the 20th) marks the end of our second week of the Slim Down Showdown.
I weighed in, and am happy to let you know that I have lost another 5 pounds! EXACTLY 5, weird, huh?
I have to tell you, though, when I weighed in Monday morning, I was not immediately happy.
If you haven't already, you can read my blog from that morning here.
After some processing, I realized that it doesn't matter if I lost half a pound, I should be proud of myself. We all need to learn to love ourselves a little better.

With that five pounds, that makes a total of 15.8 lbs lost in 14 days. How did I do it? Well, its been fun.
The first part is I have been eating healthier, which is easier than I thought. I've made several switches already, you can read about them here, and be sure to let me in on switches you've made. We have to help each other!

The second part is exercise! I have been dancing like crazy and going on hikes, sometimes burning over 1000 calories a trip! It's all fun stuff though, especially the hikes with my husband. Well, he makes everything fun! I think he has been a huge part of this, too, supporting me and doing it with me. It would probably be harder if he wasn't eating healthy and exercising with me. So thanks, babe!

Hmmmm, I know what you're thinking, exercise and eating right, what a concept. I know! It's so much easier than I have made it out to be in the past. And I still have my chocolate fix! I have a fudge pop like every night. What?! They're 40 calories and have fiber.

Actually, I can pretty much still have all the things I love. There are healthy alternatives to everything, and of course PORTION CONTROL. More on those things later.
For now, workout time and then dinner. I've been thinking about it all afternoon. We are going to have spaghetti made with spaghetti squash (which really fills me up) red sauce and extra lean ground beef. Also garlic bread made with the H-E-B whole wheat sandwich rounds, and of course a nice green salad. Yum!

Thanks for reading, can't wait to tell you more! Till then, read and comment on my blogs.
