Which Fast-Food French Fries Are Fattiest?

Consumer ReportsConducts Fat Test

How much fat do you think fast-food french fries have?

Consumer Reports tested an order of medium-sized french fries from Wendy's, McDonald's and Burger King. Testers grounded the fries up, extracted the fat and analyzed them for saturated and trans fat, bad fats that raise cholesterol and increases the risk of heart attacks.

According to Consumer Reports, Wendy's had 7½ grams of bad fat, followed by McDonald's with 10 grams and Burger King had 11.

About a year ago, McDonald's said it was going to cut down on trans fat for its fries, but has yet to do so. Wendy's and Burger King have said they are also looking into cooking with alternative oils.
