'Cards for Kids' bringing hope to young SA patients
Online voting begins in charitable holiday card program
Voting is underway for the "Cards for Kids" charitable holiday card program, featuring artwork from a variety of budding young artists.
Dozens of children currently undergoing treatment at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital created holiday drawings for the program, which is sponsored in part by Kinetic Concepts, Inc.
Ten of the most creative drawings have been selected as finalists in the online contest, to determine the three that will be available for purchase.
Each finalist will be featured on Good Morning San Antonio. Voting continues through November 21. The top three vote-getters will be announced Tuesday, November 22.
The cards will be available for purchase online November 22 to December 2. A set of 10 cards may be purchased for $10. Proceeds from the card sales will benefit the CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children's Hospital Foundation. The foundation supports the hospital's programs for young patients in San Antonio and South Texas.
