Police say alcohol appeared to be a factor in an early morning accident that left a man trapped in his vehicle and critically injured.

It happened Sunday just before 2 a.m. at Moursund and Gillette.

Police say the man was speeding when he crashed his truck into a bridge.

He was trapped inside for a short time.

Once crews got him out, he was taken to SAMMC with critical injuries to his leg.
