1 killed in South Side shootout
Police say victim died in a gunfight

A shootout at a South Side apartment complex left one man dead as police search for the shooters.
The shooting happened about 10:15 p.m. Friday at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Emerald Ash just south of Loop 410.
Police say when officers arrived, they found 32 year-old Joel Flores dead outside.
Witnesses told police two men had hurried from the shooting scene.
A police captain at the shooting said it appeared Flores and the others got involved in a shootout.
