1 man dies in head-on collision

One man is dead and three others are injured after a head-on collision on the county's east side.

It happened just after 3 p.m. near the intersection of Interstate l0 East and FM 1518.

Bexar County Sheriff's officials said a silver Chevy pickup was headed east on the access road when, for whatever reason, crash investigators said, it veered off and crashed head-on with a white Dodge Neon.

The driver in that car was killed on impact and three other people who were in the truck were transported to area hospitals.

Investigators said it is too early to tell if drinking was a factor in that accident.
