1 suspect arrested, police seek 2 more after drive-by shooting

Man shot in arm, taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested one man and are searching for two more following a drive-by shooting overnight.

The shooting was reported around 10:45 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of VFW Boulevard at an apartment complex on the city's South Side.

Police said a group of men in their 20s were standing in the driveway of the apartment complex when a silver car pulled up to the group and started firing.

Police said they spotted the vehicle as it fled on South Flores Street and then a chase ensued.

Both the SAPD helicopter and K-9 units were called to assist the search.

The suspects ditched their car at Edwards and Cass Street, police said.

One of the suspects was eventually caught but two remain at-large, police said.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the arm. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
