The Drug Enforcement Administration, in conjunction with several other agencies, including the San Antonio Police Department and the Atascosca County Sheriff's Office, conducted a major operation this morning, arresting 10 people in what is being described as a large-scale narcotics investigation.

Two homes and surrounding buildings were raided Tuesday morning, both in Atascosa County, where the 10 were arrested.

Names and information about those arrested has not been released.

Sheriff's deputies seized thousands of dollars worth of property from each home, including high-end electronics, refrigerators, ATVs, and at least five late-model vehicles, including a Cadillac Escalade.

Evidence of a cock-fighting operation could also be seen at one of the locations, with dozens of roosters chained up in the backyard.

More information about the operation will be released Wednesday at a joint press conference to be conducted by the DEA.
