SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- An afternoon bomb scare at San Antonio International Airport turned out to be nothing more than a hoax.
At about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a customs officer found what looked like a suspicious device in one of the bathrooms, said officials.
As a safety precaution, the airport closed off terminal No. 1 for about an hour.
Officials said it looked like a large firecracker with some other items attached.
Once police deemed the terminal safe, it was reopened.
