Infant's Death Ruled Homicide

POSTED: Thursday, April 12, 2007
UPDATED: 9:45 am CDT April 12, 2007

A 6-month-old boy whose body was found under a triplex died of homicidal violence, the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office ruled.

The autopsy ruling conflicts with what the infant's mother, Valerie Lopez, told police about how Sebastian Lopez died.

Lopez claims that her son died after she rolled on top of him.

According to police, Lopez confessed to detectives that she killed her daughter, Sariyah Garcia, who was also found under the triplex in the 1300 block of Winnepeg Avenue in early March.

Lopez is currently jailed on a capital murder charge in the death of her daughter.
