SEGUIN, Texas -

An investigation is underway into a tour bus crash in Seguin that sent more than a dozen people to the hospital late Monday evening.

The Seguin-Gazette reported the bus crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. along Interstate 10 near the State Highway 130 exit.

The tour bus from Mexico was reportedly headed west from Houston when the driver attempted to pass an 18-wheeler and began to veer off the interstate.

The Seguin-Gazette reported the driver over-corrected the bus and went off the road before the bus crashed into a ditch.

A total of 22 occupants were on the bus and 13 were injured. One of the injured occupants was flown to University Hospital for treatment while the others were transported to Guadalupe Regional Medical Center.

Officials continue to investigate why the driver veered off the road and charges were unknown.
