SAN ANTONIO -- Shoppers claimed a place in line in front of the Apple Store at La Cantera to wait for their chance to snag the Apple iPhone on Friday.About 70 people waited in line at noon, sitting in lawnchairs and passing the time on lap top computer, until they could get their chance to purchase the latest tech toy.David Bernard, the first person in line, arrived at La Cantera around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.
His brother, Sam, drove him four hours from Brownsville, Texas to claim the top spot in line.Robert Williams, who was toward the back of the line, said he was worried the store might run out of iPhones before he could gets his."I'll be really mad because it's for my mom," Williams said.
