SAN ANTONIO -- About $75 worth of pizzas, soda, and bread sticks, and $30 in cash, is what a woman said she and her boyfriend took after they killed a pizza deliveryman over the weekend, according to an arrest affidavit.
Jenilee Ann Sheppard, 22, was arrested Tuesday night and Karl Anthony Hodson, 20, was arrested Wednesday morning by Kendall County sheriff's authorities.
Sheppard and Hodson are accused of trying to rob Leon Poe, 27, of his pizzas and money during a bogus order the pair made Friday night, authorities said.
According to an arrest affidavit, Sheppard told Texas Rangers that she and Hodson met Poe outside the address they had given him.
Hodson demanded money from Poe and the couple used duct tape to bind Poe's hands and feet, according to the affidavit.
Sheppard told authorities that Poe freed himself and tried to escape, but Hodson stabbed him, according to affidavit.
Poe's body was found two days later in a vacant field in south Boerne.
Poe was stabbed in the chest, authorities said.
Authorities said that one of the suspect's cell phones and a stolen check led them to arrest Hodson and Sheppard.
"The phone number led us to a person that owns that number and from there we started looking," Lt. Louis Martinez said. "It was the same person we were possibly looking at."
If convicted, Hodson and Sheppard could face the death penalty or life without parole.
