SAN ANTONIO -- A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Thursday night in southwest Bexar County. The victim was identified as Adrian Calderon, officials with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said.Calderon's girlfriend told sheriff's officials that she heard a knock at the door of their duplex in the 10000 block of Loop 1604 South at 10:45 p.m.
Moments later, she heard an argument and then gunshots, sheriff's officials said.Calderon suffered numerous gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the bullets nearly hit the woman's 4-year-old daughter."We did discover that the 4-year-old child was sitting on the couch in the living room when this occurred," said Bexar County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Dale Bennett. "One of the bullets did penetrate the couch, almost striking the child."Witnesses told sheriff's officials that up to four people were seen leaving the scene. No arrests have been made. Some drugs were found in the apartment, but Bennett didn't know if that was a factor in the motive.
