SAN ANTONIO -- Two women -- including a grandmother -- were found slain in a home on San Antonio's south side Monday morning.
San Antonio police said they received a call about 10 a.m. and responded to a home on the 200 block of Caddo Street near Interstate 35 and Palo Alto Road, where they found the two women dead.
One of the victims was Eva Flores, according to family members.
"My aunt is a wonderful woman, loved by us all," niece Gina Flores said.
Investigators did not identify the second woman, only confirming she was in her 30s. They also said whomever killed the two women may have used two different weapons.
"We did find a handgun," SAPD Sgt. Gilbert Reyna said. "We believed that was used (and) we also found a bladed instrument we think was also used."
Investigators said they are looking for a person of interest, but did not release a name.
The deaths were the second and third homicides in San Antonio on Monday following the shooting death of a Judson High School freshman on the city's east side in the early morning.
