SAN ANTONIO -- Talkative drivers may have to refrain from making calls in school zones if a City Council vote turns out as expected.City staff are currently preparing data in advance of a meeting of the council's Public Safety Committee, which is going over the proposal.While the proposed ordinance would carry possible fines, District 7 City Councilman Justin Rodriguez said the city wouldn't be on a manhunt for mobile phone users."You know, we're not going to set up checkpoints for folks to be stopped just because they're on cell phones," Rodriguez said.A vote could go before the City Council by late April, Rodriguez said.
