SAN ANTONIO -- Six burglary suspects were arrested early Tuesday following a high-speed chase that started in northeast Bexar County and ended in a crash near Hill Country Village.
The chase started shortly after 2 a.m., when deputies received a call about some men breaking into a home that was being remodeled in the Glen subdivision.
No one was at the residence when deputies arrived, but after they spotted a pickup, the driver took off, law enforcement authorities said.
The chase, which spanned about 20 miles and reached speeds of more than 100 mph, ended when the driver crashed into a utility pole in the 1100 block of West Bitters road, deputies said.
Two of the suspects were pinned inside the truck and had to be extracted from the wreckage by firefighters. One of them was in serious condition and the other man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The men face charges of burglary and evading arrest.
A gun was found inside the pickup, deputies said.
