Affidavit: Barrios Alive When Home Set On Fire

SAN ANTONIO -- An arrest affidavit for the suspect in the death of restaurant owner Viola Barrios reveals a confession and other claims from 18-year-old Joe Estrada Jr.

In the affidavit obtained by KSAT 12 News, Estrada told police an accomplice burglarized the Barrios home on the city's northwest side Thursday morning and was told by the accomplice to go back and set the home on fire.

Estrada also told police Barrios was still alive when he poured gasoline throughout her home and set it on fire.

The identity of the accomplice was not revealed in the affidavit.
