Alleged Street Race Kills One, Injures Five

SAN ANTONIO -- Police said as many as three cars were involved in a fatal street race that killed one of the alleged racers and sent a family of five in another vehicle to a hospital.
Witnesses said a red Ford Mustang and as many as two other cars were speeding east on SW Military Drive when the Mustang lost control, crossed a median and hit a minivan heading west.
The Mustang was split in half, and the driver was ejected and killed, police said.
The family of five, including some children, were taken to two area hospitals with some suffering critical injuires, police said.
One of the alleged speeders returned to the scene and was being questioned Friday evening, police said. They are also looking for a third suspect.
