SAN ANTONIO -- Thousands of people packed the AT&T Center on Sunday to catch the traveling worship service of popular pastor Joel Osteen.
The pastor of Lakewood Church in Houston urged worshippers to put their faith in God.
"It's our core message that God is a good god," Osteen said in an interview with KSAT 12 News. "That he's on their side, that when we walk with him and do our best to follow him that he's got good things in store."
I think God's given us all gifts. It seems like my gift is to motivate people and help them have a good attitude and help them know there are good things in store. So, I think that's what they're taking away."
Osteen's wife, Victoria, who is also a pastor, said that it is good to be back in the Alamo City.
"We love the people of San Antonio," she said. "So, we just want to bring a message of hope and God's love and we know they're out there ready to receive it."
The Osteens last visited San Antonio in 2005.
