UPDATED: 10:05 am CDT July 7, 2008

The family of a 34-year-old man who was killed on July Fourth hope an arrest will happen soon.

Michael Rodriguez died Friday night at Wilford Hall Medical Center following a fight in the 5900 block of Campus Park, police said.

According to a police report, Rodriguez had no visible trauma to his body.

Rodriguez's family said that he was hit with a lead pipe while he was trying to break up a fight. But the family of a 15-year-old boy claimed that he punched Rodriguez on the side of the head. No arrests have been made.

"They just need to make an arrest so he can rest in peace, and know that his family out here who loved him took care of it," said Giovanna Barba, Rodriguez's cousin.

Rodriguez leaves behind a wife and six children.
