Sheriffs Make Arrest In Canyon Lake Stabbing Death

Robert Henry Smith Being Held On $50,000 Bond

COMAL COUNTY, Texas -- Comal County Sheriff's officials said they arrested the boyfriend of a woman found stabbed inside her home.

Robert Henry Smith, 40, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection with the death of 53-year-old Nancy Shields inside her Canyon Lake home, police said.

Investigators said they were called to Shields' home Friday evening for a domestic disturbance when they discovered Shields had been stabbed. She later died after being taken to Brooke Army Medical Center, police said.

Smith is currently jailed on a $500,000 bond.
