Fire Damages Home In Historic Neighborhood

SAN ANTONIO -- Fire caused extensive damage to a home in the historic Monte Vista neighborhood north of downtown early Wednesday.

When Firefighters arrived at the home in the 200 block of West Mistletoe Avenue at 5 a.m., they found the front porch of the home on fire. The blaze then spread inside the two-story house.

Neighbors said they saw a man in the front yard before the fire started. He was not around when firefighters arrived.

Arson investigators will sift through the damage in search of clues to determine a cause.

No one was injured.
