SAN ANTONIO -- San Antonio police are investigating a shooting on the city's south side that left an out-of-town visitor dead.
Police said the victim was apparently visiting a friend when he was shot outside his friend's house at about 4 a.m. Sunday morning in the 800 block of Kendalia.
Investigators said that the man may have gotten into an argument with a group of three men outside his friend's house when all three men opened fire on him.
When police arrived, they found the victim -- who has yet to be identified -- dead outside the home with multiple gunshot wounds.
"Several witnesses only heard the gunshots, came out afterwards and saw two suspects running from the scene," said San Antonio Police Department spokesperson Joe Rios. "One fled in a dark red-colored SUV, the second was picked up by a small compact vehicle."
Investigators found several shell casings at the scene from what they believe are three different weapons.
Police said none of the witnesses got a very good look at the shooters, and are asking for the public's help in locating the three men who they believe fired the guns, as well as the getaway drivers.
