SAN ANTONIO -- An instructional assistant with the San Antonio Independent School District is being investigated for having an improper relationship with a student, a district spokeswoman said.
The unidentified assistant was arrested Monday at Brackenridge High School after resigning his position, said SAISD spokeswoman Melissa Matthews-Woolard. The employee had been employed with the district since December 2007, Matthews-Woolard said.
A criminal background check conducted at the employee's hiring revealed no criminal background, she said.
