SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a quick turn around a corner may have been the primary cause of an 18-wheeler spilling its load of scrap metal onto another car on the city's southeast side.
Manuel Sandoval said he was trying to turn from Roosevelt Avenue onto Loop 410 when he saw the 18-wheeler take a turn too fast and flip on its side, dropping metal on his vehicle. Nobody was injured, but Sandoval said it could have been worse if he hadn't moved to the side of the road quickly.
"The impact was pretty hard," he said. "The side window crashed in and the air bag hit me in the head."
