Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

SAN ANTONIO -- Selma police on Friday arrested a 23-year-old man they say kidnapped a 15-year-old girl from Retama Park last month.

Ricardo Mora Alvarado was arrested in southern Bexar County with the help of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

Selma police said Alvarado and the teen had a relationship, but that the nature of it wasn't clear.

"We're unclear right now if it was a boyfriend/girlfriend, or if there was an actual wedding ceremony with it," said Detective Keith Osborn of the Selma Police Department.

Alvarado was charged with kidnapping and could be charged with aggravated sexual assault, Osborn said.
