SAN ANTONIO -- A small fire caused about $2,500 damage to a Luby's restaurant on the city's west side early Monday.
Fire officials said food left on a stove was to blame for the blaze that was called in a little past midnight at
803 Castroville Road. The sprinkler system extinguished the small fire in the kitchen while firefighters put out some insulation that caught fire in the roof.
The fire was contained to a six-foot section, fire officials said.
