Traffic was delayed for hours Monday morning after an 18-wheeler flipped on its side near downtown San Antonio.

The accident happened just before 2 a.m. on the I-35 South ramp to I-10 West near the Finesilver building.

The driver of the big rig told police he was cut-off by another vehicle as he was driving around the curve and lost control.

The big rig landed on its side and spilled some of its cargo. Police said it was carrying 44,000 pounds of powdered plastic.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and no injuries were reported.

Another 18-wheeler was called to haul the powered plastic and the wrecked trailer was finally up-righted around 7:15 a.m.
