SAN ANTONIO -- The Nova bus company rolled into San Antonio Tuesday morning. The company showed off its latest rapid transit vehicle to the VIA Board of Trustees Planning Committee.
The Nova Bus LFX is 60 feet long and has large doors and wide aisles to allow for easier mobility of passengers. The bus seats up to 130 people and is equipped with Wi-Fi.
The bus that was shown was an example of the type that VIA is considering adding to the Fredericksburg Road corridor. The bus is also a diesel-electric hybrid. The new buses are not cheap, though. A high-end model costs just under a million dollars.
