FREDERICKSBURG, Texas -- Two years ago, a woman who investigators said was well-loved in the community was found beaten to death inside her then-torched home in the Hill Country. Now they're hoping somebody has information leading to the arrest of her killer.
Linda Muegge, a caterer and entrepreneur, was
found beaten and burned inside her home on May 14, 2007.
"Linda was never shy about going up to people and saying, 'Hi, I'm Linda, you're always here, why don't you come sit with us,'" said Shannon Ramsey, Muegge's sister.
Police said they have no suspects nor persons of interest, but want to know more about two specific incidents that happened years apart before Muegge's death. The victim had previously reported meeting a man named Frank who had made her feel uncomfortable and another person had once shot a sheep on Muegge's property, police said.
"This has probably been one of the most frustrating cases in my career that spans 36 years," said Fredericksburg Police Chief Paul Oestreich. "Somebody killed this lady and they need to pay for it."
Anybody with information about Muegge's death is asked to contact the Fredericksburg Police Department at 830-997-7585.
