2 Sisters Found Dead Inside Home

Deaths Appear To Be Heat-Related

SAN ANTONIO -- The bodies of two 82-year-old sisters were found in their home south of downtown Thursday.

Their deaths appeared to be heat-related, police said.

Neighbors in the 200 block of East Lambert called police at about 9 a.m. after they hadn't seen the women in recent days.

The women never used air conditioners or fans because they worried about high electricity bills since they were on a fixed income, neighbors said.

Autopsies were being conducted.
