SAN ANTONIO -- A woman was killed Saturday evening when the car she was driving was struck by an alleged drunken driver, police said.

The 48-year-old woman, whose name has not been released pending notification of her next of kin, was driving along Loop 410 near Palo Alto on the city's south side when her vehicle was clipped by another driver, sending it into oncoming traffic, said San Antonio Police traffic investigators. A couple with children were driving and struck the clipped vehicle, police said, but those occupants were expected to be OK.

A total of four vehicles, along with a motorcycle, were involved in the crash, police said. The man who allegedy caused the crash was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter. His identity has not been released.
