SAN ANTONIO -

Two women were injured after gunshots were fired at a Northeast Side apartment complex Wednesday night.

San Antonio police said two groups of people were arguing in the parking lot of the complex in the 5300 block of Gawain when a man pulled out a gun and fired several shots.

One of the victims was hit in the ankle and the other was grazed by ricocheting bullet.

Police said the women were not involved in the argument and had stepped outside to see what was going on. Both women are in their early 20s. Police said their injuries were minor and they are expected to recover.

Police are on the lookout for the shooter, a man in his 20s. Investigators believe the shooting was a result of an ongoing dispute between the two groups.
