SAN ANTONIO -

A driver and his passenger were injured in a wrong-way collision in far north San Antonio late Thursday night.

Police said the 23-year-old driver had just left a Sonic off TPC Parkway and Ellis Park when he headed in the wrong direction and crashed head-on with a PT Cruiser.

The wrong-way driver continued past the PT Cruiser and forced another vehicle off the road and into an embankment, police said.

The wrong-way driver finally came to a stop and both he and his passenger were taken to the hospital by helicopter.

Police said the other drivers involved were not injured. Police say the driver could face DWI charges.
