SAN ANTONIO -

Two women are in the hospital and two men are on the run after three separate overnight accidents.

The first accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of Northwest Loop 410 near Cherry Ridge Street.

According to police, a red car was yielding to two vehicles on the entrance ramp to the highway when he noticed another vehicle behind him approaching at a high rate of speed.

The speeding vehicle crashed into the red car, causing it to roll over.

The driver of the red car was not injured.

The driver who caused the accident fled the scene on foot.

The second accident happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Babcock and Huebner roads.

According to police, a white SUV traveling south on Babcock had the right of way when a red car traveling east on Huebner ran the red light and crashed into the SUV in the intersection.

The red car also hit a black car that was waiting at the light.

The driver of the red car had to be cut out of the vehicle. She was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the black car was also taken to University Hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

There was no word on any charges.

The third accident happened just before 3 a.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Hammond Avenue.

According to police, two men were traveling south on Walters when they lost control, drove through a fence and crashed into a house.

One of the men fled the scene. The other man stayed.

There was no word on what charges the two men could be facing.
