Two people were injured in a head-on hit-and-run crash Friday night on the city's West Side.

Police said that at around 10:30 p.m., a car was headed on Highway 90 when a sport utility vehicle crashed into the car head-on.

A man and a woman in the car were taken to University Hospital in serious condition.

Two people in the SUV took off on foot, police said.

A police helicopter looked for the pair, but they were not found.
