Two men were shot during what San Antonio police call an ambush on Honey Boulevard early Wednesday morning.
Investigators said the men were driving down Honey when a group of four men fired at least 30 shots at them.
One man was hit in the arm and the other in the leg, but police said both are expected to survive.
The men crashed immediately after the shooting and one victim left the accident scene, but was picked up by paramedics on Lasses Boulevard.
Police say shell casings from at least two different guns were found at the scene, and it was not immediately clear if the men in the car returned fire.
Witnesses told police the suspected shooters fled on foot. Police said they detained a group of four men, but have not said if they would be charged in the connection with the shooting.
