Two motorcyclists were injured within an hour of each other Thursday night during two separate accidents.
Police responded to the first accident just after 9:30 p.m. on Highway 281 at Hildebrand Avenue.
According to witnesses, the motorcyclist was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic when he lost control on a curve and slammed into the wall.
The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike and taken to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder and severe road rash.
About an hour later, police responded to the another motorcycle accident where the rider was forced to lay down his bike after he was cut off by an SUV.
Police say the rider was on W Elmira near the Interstate 35 Interstate 10 ramp when he was cut off. He laid down the bike to avoid getting hit.
The motorcyclist suffered a sprained ankle, but refused treatment from EMS.
The driver who cut him off did stop to render aid. Police have not said if the SUV driver would face charges.
