2 wounded in Houston shooting on street
Police say 2 wounded after shots fired at group on Houston street during party at nearby house
HOUSTON (AP) — Houston police say two people were wounded after shots were fired at a group gathered on a street outside of a house during a party.
Police spokesman John Cannon says shots were fired early Thursday morning. He says some of those in the group were from the party, others weren't.
No arrests have been made yet. Cannon says police are asking witnesses to come forward with details. He says so far, witnesses have said they heard an argument and gunshots but have not provided details on who the shooter might be or what happened.
Cannon says a 17-year-old man and a 21-year-old man both suffered non-life-threatening wounds. The teen was taken to a hospital by authorities from the scene while the 21-year-old was taken to a hospital by private vehicle.
