Two crashes, one involving a hit-and-run driver and the second involving a drunk driving suspect, send a man to the hospital with severe leg injuries.

Police said the victim was making a turn at Broadway and Natalen early Saturday when the first wreck happened.

They said a car slammed into the rear of his vehicle, and that driver then took off.

When he got out to check the damage to his car, another driver rear-ended him, police said.

The impact pinned the man between the cars, severely injuring his legs.

Police said the second driver was drunk, and will be charged with intoxication assault.

EMS rushed the victim to SAMMC for treatment.
