SAN ANTONIO – Animal Care Services is investigating a cat hoarding case on the city’s Northwest Side.
The animals were found in an apartment in the 6000 block of Callaghan Road.

Lisa Norwood of ACS said 20-30 cats were found and several were dead and apparently eating the remains of the deceased felines.
The man who rented the apartment was evicted and left the cats behind with no food or water.
ACS they are still determining if charges will be pressed against the man.
