JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH -

Government furloughs are putting a damper on Joint Base San Antonio's plans for an air show at Randolph Air Base.

This year's Thunderbird Aerial Demonstration team had been scheduled to fly at the base in November.

But because the Air Force is having to save flying hours, all air shows, tradeshows, flyovers (including funerals and military graduations), orientation flights, heritage flights, F-22 demonstration flights and open houses have been canceled.

And it's not the only show on the chopping block.

The entire Thunderbirds 2013 season has been canceled, beginning April 1, along with a variety of other flights.

The Thunderbirds last performed in San Antonio at JBSA-Lackland's 2010 air show.
