Fire Marshal Resigns

Orlando Hernandez: It Was 'Simply Time To Move On'

Bexar County Fire Marshal Orlando Hernandez resigned Thursday.

Hernandez submitted his resignation, which is efffective immediately, to Bexar County commissioners.

In a letter to commissioners, Hernandez said it was "simply time to move on."

Hernandez was appointed to the position in 2005.

Assistant Fire Marshal Ross Coleman will assume Hernandez's duties until a permanent replacement is named.
