SAN ANTONIO -- Bexar County Fire Marshal Orlando Hernandez resigned Thursday.Hernandez submitted his resignation, which is efffective immediately, to Bexar County commissioners.In a letter to commissioners, Hernandez said it was "simply time to move on."Hernandez was appointed to the position in 2005.Assistant Fire Marshal Ross Coleman will assume Hernandez's duties until a permanent replacement is named.
