Council Hears Concerns About Flambeau Association Member

LULAC Wants Jesse Ayala Jr. Removed From Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association

The San Antonio City Council on Thursday heard from concerned citizens who want a former sex offender removed from his role on the Fiesta Flambeau Parade Association.

A representative from the League of United Latin American Citzens and other residents asked the City Council to look into the matter involving Jesse P. Ayala Jr.

Ayala was placed on deferred adjudication on a charge of indecency with a child by contact in 1994. He did register as a sex offender, but is no longer listed on the DPS database, and it's not known if he has to re-register.

Because of Ayala's criminal past, there's a move under way to remove him as a member of the association.

Ayala told KSAT 12 News that he's done nothing wrong.

The City Council took no action.
