A certification hearing to decide if a 16-year-old mother will stand trial as an adult in the death of her infant daughter was delayed Friday.

The hearing for Julie Navejar was rescheduled until January.

Navejar is charged with injury to a child by omission in the death of her 7-week old daughter, Jada Delarosa, who was found dead in front of a fire station last summer.

The baby's father, Ramiro Delarosa, is charged with injury to a child and is being held in the Bexar County Jail.

A judge ruled Friday that Navejar will remain in juvenile custody. Navejar will be back in court Dec. 4 for another detention hearing.
