Spring Breaking For Less

Money-Saving Coupons Available Online

Spring Break is just around the corner and that means finding ways to entertain the kids or company without breaking the bank.

First tip, remember the Alamo. That was part of Amanda Byrd's game plan as she visited San Antonio from East Texas with her two young daughters.

"(We're) splitting dinners and the Alamo is free, and we're walking around to see what we can do for the least amount of money," Byrd said.

Visiting the Alamo is free, but Jed Weintraub's family spring break, not so much.

"With shopping included, it's going to take us over a thousand dollars," he said. His family had driven to San Antonio from Tennessee.

To save money, a quick trip to the Internet can help. Buying tickets to theme parks online is cheaper than at the gate. SeaWorld and Six Flags Fiesta Texas both have adult tickets at kid prices on their Web sites.

Go to www.VisitSanAntonio.com to yield some savings, too. Through the Convention and Visitors Bureau site, visitors can download dozens of money-saving coupons to popular tourist and family attractions such as the San Antonio Zoo, Witte Museum, Natural Bridge Caverns and more.
